It is an Honour, a Joy and a Privilege to be included in this Global Recognition of ‘200 Women Who Will Change the Way You See the World.’
An extraordinarily brave, insightful, considered, and candid book founded on 200 original and diverse interviews with women from around the world.
200 women who will educate and inspire us, teach us empathy, and bring positive change.
An excerpt from my interview….
Pain is inevitable, but suffering is a choice and not having the freedom to let go is miserable.
What we learn from pain we will always remember.
What we learn from joy, we will learn the fastest.
I see so many people who have been unable to choose the story that gives them peace, so they take a painful event, put more lenses and more filters on it, until it becomes misery and they suffer needlessly.
This absence of consciousness causes people to suffer needlessly, because of the stories they’ve created and the layers of meaning they’ve piled onto those stories. All this becomes a rock they are chained to.
I love to change perspectives. Not everybody is ready, which I respect.
I believe I was put on earth to influence people, to give them the opportunity to choose ways of seeing the world that lessen their suffering: to offer them another perspective that gives them to courage to challenge existing paradigms and design a life on their terms, regardless of what they’ve been through.
What are beliefs? Beliefs are habits. Habits that were downloaded onto us by our parents, our society and our culture.
Some of us go through life defending these habits – sometimes to the death – habits that are not even ours.
So I want people to say, ‘Wait a minute. This is not working for me.” We all have to come to terms with the cost of holding on to the beliefs that no longer work for us. Because there’s a huge cost of walking this earth defending beliefs that aren’t even ours and being someone that we are not.
I work to assist people to choose the story that gives them the most peace, the thoughts that give then the most joy, and the emotions that give them the most freedom.
My word is ‘Freedom’. Freedom above all else.
