This discomfort is my comfort.

For many, punching above their weight class is a scary thought. I personally find it EXHILARATING! Why? Because it is the fastest and most direct route to LEVEL UP. I often place myself in the company of those who are much smarter than me, with more experience than me, and who possess the talents that I do not. Of course I know what I bring to the table, otherwise I wouldn’t be sitting at their table. I also know that, when I am in the company of those who are well above my weight class, that the best thing I can do is, keep my mouth shut, listen hard, learn fast, and have every intention to execute their teachings with deft and mastery. This discomfort is my comfort. Nothing grows fast in safe spaces. Our background and circumstances may influence who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. We become our associations and our associations become us. We become our conversations and our conversations become us. We become our environment and our environment becomes us.
